That was so sad.
I started crying a bit halfway through the book.
The ending was heartbreaking.
I feel bad for some of the kids in America like this.

I know. That book was so sad.
I don't think any kids should read it.
The stories about him getting hit by his stepfather and then being burned with a cigarette...

That book has stuck in my head for years now. I've never read another book that could make me cry so easily, as well as make my skin crawl.

Yeah,the worst part was he thought he was adopted.
And than one day his father showed up at school.
He was all excited,he had an uncle.
His uncle took him home.
When he stepped foot in the house he saw 6 more kids.
They all looked dirty and smelly.
He thought they were relatives but it turned out they were orphans.
He was just sick,he was so upset that he ran to his room and cried for hours.

I wouldnt be surprised if he killed himself, because of how much he got beaten.
I mean, the kid almost broke his leg from getting hit so many times with a belt. He even went to the hospital once.

Yeah, I just finished the section where he found out he wasnt adopted.
Man, it's too hard to get through those parts of the book.
