Is it me or does the internet have more of an effect on your mind and your language then you realize?
I've noticed that I've become a little less formal in speech. I use words like "like", "umm" and "uhh" more frequently when I'm speaking to people. These are what I consider to be signs of being rude.
What do you guys think? Are the effects of the internet on our language as bad as I think they are?

I guess it's not that bad, but I don't say stuff like "lol" all the time, but I would say it more if I was talking to someone that I know pretty well.
