1. There are many crazy people on the internet.
2. You can't tell if they're lying or telling the truth when you chat with them over Skype, etc. for the first time.
3. The majority of online daters are just weirdos that will never get a girl in real life so they make themselves seem better by saying how successful they are and acting like they have loads of friends to try to look cool to girls online who will believe anything even though it's not true.
4. People lie about their age, weight, height, etc., which is extremely important information about someone to know before dating them.
5. If an older man messages a teen girl (or vice versa) he/she should be reported instantly because it could lead into something bad.
6. Sometimes people pretend to be younger than they actually are.
7. A lot of these sites don't check your criminal record, but some do. It would be good if all of these websites checked your criminal records because there could be predators out there.
8. Some of the messages on the site may contain inappropriate words.
9. These kinds of dating services make people lazy instead of going outside and meeting other singles face-to-face. They also cause a huge social issue; more teens nowadays prefer being alone rather than doing things with others which makes us very antisocial as a whole society.
10. Sometimes these dating sites charge monthly fees so it gets expensive after a while. Plus, the free ones always turn out to be scams anyway where your credit card info ends up getting stolen.
11. All of these fake profiles claiming to be celebrities really ruin our celebrity culture! Who wants to see Paris Hilton chatting with random guys? Nobody!
12. Another problem is the fact that many online dater's profiles aren't actually theirs...it's usually somebody else pretending to be him/her using stolen photos and personal information.
13. One last reason why we need to stop this kind of "dating" altogether is because most times what starts off as harmless flirting quickly escalates into cyberbullying if one person takes offense at another for whatever silly little reason...
14. Online dating doesn’t work because women think men can read minds and men think women can’t take rejection!
15. You might meet someone nice through one of those sites but chances are you'll end up getting catfished or scammed. Or maybe she won't be what she said she was in her profile picture; remember, liars will often use old photos of themselves when they were much thinner / better looking?
