I love 2d platformers. The only reason I dislike them is because the controls are so bad sometimes. But if the controls are good enough then I can play these games for hours.

You get better at them, but you don't enjoy it as much as the newer games.

I am bad at them too. I'm pretty sure that's just a fact for almost everyone. The only reason we can play them is because we are persistent. We just keep playing them no matter how many times we die.

Not saying this to be rude, but if you have been playing these games since you were 3 then there is absolutely no excuse for not being good at them.
I started when I was like 5 or 6 so I'm not saying this to be rude, but there really isn't any other explanation.

This is why people don't play these games. The controls are too hard and the games themselves are too hard. They're also incredibly frustrating.
