The series is called The 100.
The series is set in the future where Earth has been rendered uninhabitable due to nuclear war. The only people who are left on earth are a group of teenagers that were sent into space to escape Earth. The teens are sent back down to Earth and they must rebuild society and work together to survive the harsh conditions.
I highly suggest that you read this series as it is truly one of the best books I have ever read.
