And even if hell was real (which is highly unlikely), what's the worse that can happen? You burn for a while, then die. I don't think that's too bad. Plus, there's no proof of anything, so there isn't any proof of hell either.

Also, if he named himself Bob then that means he wouldn't have any power. He'd just be another person on Earth, therefore we can assume that he's too arrogant for that.
