my head was shaved to put a drain in to get rid of a build-up of fluid. it hurt like hell and i feel like i've had surgery on my head.

my mum asked if i wanted to press a button and play music to myself as they were putting me under general anesthetic. i declined as the machine made noises that scared me.

they said i could keep the drain in for up to a week. i'm not sure how long i have it in for though as I'm having more surgery on Monday and I don't know if they're going to remove it then or after the operation is complete.

i was in the hospital for about 6 hours. i slept for most of it. my dad kept checking to see if I was asleep.
