Because they want to. My dad said that he will buy me the latest technology and that if I get a job, I'll just be wasting my time doing that instead of playing games and such.

ask him what he wants you to do in the future
if it's something like "become an engineer" then make sure to tell him about how much engineering pays

My parents are really weird because when we go to the grocery store or whatever, I'm always the one who pays for stuff and they just stand around like idiots. It's annoying.

Well, my dad is the only one in this household who has a job. My mother works as a substitute teacher, and she can only get like one job per month. My dad is the only one who can actually afford groceries and such.
