Sounded like it was crowded, and a few people walking around does not mean the streets are filled with blood.
It's just the city, they have lots of people there, they probably need to take up space.

Just saying, if you didn't like the city so much, then why did you go? It's not like you can take back the trip. And yes, I am very aware that you were just visiting your friend, but you still went on the trip even knowing how you felt about it, so what are you complaining about now? If you say it's weird then fine, but don't complain about it. Because it's not going to change.
