That's basically what memes are.
And I think the word meme is used too often. It's not something that spreads through the internet, it's more like a saying or phrase that people use.
Like the "LOLD" fad or whatever.
Or "troll"
Or "no u"
Or "lolwut"
Or anything along those lines.
