But I don't want to hurt cows.
It's just that the word 'vegetarian' means 'doesn't eat meat' and it doesn't mean 'eats other stuff like mushrooms or whatever'.
But then again, I don't see why vegetarians should have a problem with someone saying 'I'm a vegetarian, but I love steak' because they're not hurting anyone and their own personal belief doesn't matter much.
It's like saying 'I'm a christian but I do drugs', I would be offended if I heard someone say that, but it's their life.

You can get protein from things other than meat. And you don't need meat to survive.
Cows are disgusting creatures though

Yeah, but it seems weird when I say 'vegetarian, but I like steak' because people think it means that I'm not really a vegetarian, but then again, it's my personal choice to do what I want.
And yeah, it is. I hate cows. I hate any animal with fur and hooves. The only ones I kind of like are the cute, furry ones like penguins and bunnies or whatever.

I know they're vegetarians but there are other kinds of animals that have been considered as vegetarians such as elephants and horses

Ah, so that's why.
And yeah, I know that there are some herbivorous animals that don't eat meat, I just never thought of them in this context before.
