a place where we can talk about what's going on in our lives, share what we're working on, and vent about our personal problems
something like "my life" or "personal issues" would be a good name for it

That would be great! I think it would help alot with all the people who are stressed out because they aren't able to talk to anybody about their feelings. It could really help them feel better if somebody is actually listening to them!

well we could have a rule where you can only post in personal stuff if you've posted here before so you don't get spammed by newbs saying "i have cancer and i'm sad"

I agree that there should be some sort of requirement before posting, but maybe the mods could delete the threads that they feel aren't worth reading.

That's right! That's why I'm posting here. The forums are a good way to meet people who might understand your problem better than others, especially since most people on OT seem to be pretty nice :)
