I'm not sure how he died yet, but if he was murdered then digging him up may be a bad idea. But still, if I can bring him back from death, then I should.

No, he wouldn't. If someone is murdered, they are dead. If I bring them back, they're still dead. It won't make them a zombie. Besides, there aren't zombies anyway. It's just a story.
