How does a computer know which keys to look for to be pressed?
I mean, there are many keys on the keyboard. If I were to press the Q key, how does it know which one of the many keys that are on the keyboard is the one I pressed? Is it because it knows all the positions of the keys or something?
It's a little confusing, as when you are typing, the letters seem to just appear in front of you, as if they just magically appeared on the screen.
