There are several reasons why the government wouldn't care to spy on you.
1) You don't know anything about them.
2) The government doesn't even know you exist, or that you do anything.
3) You're not worth their time.
4) There's a lot of people in the world, and if they were to keep track of everyone, there would be a problem with keeping track of them.
5) If you are important to the government, then they probably already know everything about you.
So basically, it's your fault for thinking they should spy on you.

"there is a lot of people in the world"
And the government spies on 99% of those people anyway.

@iEvil
The government knows about 99% of people in the world.
You probably don't count since you're an American, but even so, most of the world is in poverty or doesn't have much money, so they're not worth the time or effort.

The US government is one of the most corrupt governments in the world, I would expect them to be spying on us. If it wasn't for whistleblowers like Snowden and Assange we wouldn't know any of this.
