I'm doing a presentation on an event that I'm doing, and I'm required to say why it's important. It's pretty self-explanatory, but it still confuses me.
Can a person not make their own decisions?
Or are they just restricted to the options given to them?
And what is this whole "personal freedom" thing?
If anyone could explain it to me, I would greatly appreciate it.

freedom is a choice
i don't care what you do
if i was forced to do something then i wouldn't be free

But how can you choose if you're only given options?
You may be choosing, but aren't you really just being forced into one of those options?

So what I'm hearing is that there are choices to be made, but people don't really get to choose any of those things?
I guess that makes sense. Thanks for clearing it up.

you have your own choices but others can limit them or force you to make certain ones
