1. Less glitches, bugs and errors.
2. They had an amazing sound track.
3. There was a better sense of accomplishment with beating a game.
4. It wasn't full of cringey teen angst.
5. The games weren't so long that you started to get bored halfway through.
6. People actually cared about what they made.
7. No one thought they were "cool" for making games.
8. The graphics looked more realistic
9. People could actually play your game without having to buy some special thing first.
10. People knew how to be creative, they didn't just copy the same idea over and over again.
