I've never really been a huge fan of the games, or any other media relating to the series, and I just don't understand how people are so excited for X and Y.

Well, that's pretty cool, but it's nothing I'm really looking forward to.
There aren't even many 3D games out there that interest me, personally.

It's a good franchise, but like I said, it's never really appealed to me.
I'll play a few episodes of the series every now and then, but it's nothing special.
