You use B to select things in menus.
It's a good key that needs more recognition. :^)

B is the most underused but useful keys in games (especially fighting game). It's like if D was deleted out of existence and only A and C were used, because those two buttons are too much for any character in one fight. But anyway, pressing b allows you to cancel moves or allow them to be chained into other moves, so when you press a certain move on a single button, it can't just go ahead without delay, instead there will always be an option to use the b key (which may make your current combo go haywire).
In fighting games such as Super Smash Bros., some characters require this ability to even perform their main combos successfully.
