So, I was 6 years old, and my brother was 4. We always played together, we did everything together. Until one day, we were watching a TV show about dinosaurs. It's a children show, so it has a lot of dinosaurs. On the show, there were two dinosaurs that were friends, and they were both blue. My brother said: "I'm going to be this guy!" And he ran off to play with his toys, so I went to play with mine.
The next day, my brother and I were playing at home as usual. He was still being the blue dinosaur guy, and he invited me to join him. So I did, I became the other dinosaur. We started playing, and then suddenly, my brother said to me: "You're not my friend anymore!". I asked why, and he said: "Because you killed my friend." I was confused, but he told me what had happened in the TV show. I didn't know that my brother had been watching that show too. That was when I realized something very important:
We had different interests.
He loved dinosaurs, and I didn't care for them at all. I liked action stuff, and I wasn't even interested in dinosaurs. The next day, we played again, and he refused to play with me because I wasn't his friend anymore. And from that day on, our friendship ended. It's a shame really.
