"I have an Asian friend therefore I can't be racist!"
"I have a Hispanic friend, therefore I can't be racist!"
So basically it's acceptable to say racist things or act out towards someone of a different race as long as you have a "friend" in that race?
I don't know about you guys but if you think like that then there are more problems than the racism problem.

This is why people always bring up the whole "black guy shot by police" thing as their example of police brutality. Because people think that it's acceptable for them to say whatever they want about any given race so long as they have one friend in that particular race.

i'm a very white person who has a black friend who I've known since kindergarten and have been friends ever since (we're both 17)
i've never discriminated against him or called him names and he's never discriminated against me either
is that ok?? :^)

It's not like it's only black people you're saying this about. You could be talking about any race with that same stupid argument. It doesn't matter if you're the whitest person alive. It doesn't change the fact that your statement is stupid.

I can say anything I want as long as I have one friend in that particular race. And the more friends in the particular race I have, the more things I can get away with saying and doing.

This whole thing is stupid but it's just an example of how dumb people can be. People like to act out against certain races simply because they're different but then when they're called on their bull crap they go "oh well i have a friend in this race so im not racist!"

that doesn't mean they're saying "people will be offended if i don't have a black friend"
that means they're saying "i'm not racist because i have a black friend"
not because people will be offended if they don't have a black friend
