But the last time I did was when my dog died.
I had just woken up in bed and there was this horrible smell in the house. I went downstairs and saw him on his side, eyes shut. Then it all started to hit me, and I was sobbing so hard. I got really scared when I realized that I couldn't breathe because of all the crying. My dad came down and took me outside to calm down.
My dog was sick for about a week before he died. He had cancer, but he didn't show signs of it until the end.
