I have never heard of them before. I thought they were some sort of "sweets" in a bag.

Well... I don't know what to say to that. If you like them, then okay. But I still find the idea of "a candy made of fruits" rather odd.

Yeah, but it's not like you get a piece of an apple when you eat it. It's just sugar...

Yeah, and I said I had never heard of them before. I am very sure I would know them if they were sold here in Britain.

That doesn't answer my question...
And I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to see if they're available over here or not. There's no Skittles store that sells only Skittles.

I don't get how that answers anything. I've never even seen a Skittles candy box that says "Skittles". And it's not like the image looks exactly like a candy. It's just the colour. They could be anything really... Like something with a certain flavour for all we know...

But what I'm saying is... What if it was something else? Something like a chocolate bar, or something like that?

I'm British. We use British English. If you don't understand that, then don't post here.

Not everything is spelled the same in both Englishes. "American" is a proper noun and it's used to refer to people living on the continent. Whereas "British" refers to anything related to the United Kingdom and is not used to describe a person specifically (unless they were born in the UK). So yes, I am British.
