I'm not religious but I can't say I don't believe in a literal God because I know there are some Christians who take their religion seriously enough to make the claim "God is real," and I'm not going to say they're wrong unless they define exactly what they mean by "real." (Which they probably wouldn't, as far as I've seen.)
If by "literal" they mean "as described in the Bible," then no.
If they mean "literally true as an objective statement," then yes.
If they mean "something real, but not as described in the Bible," I guess it depends on what kind of thing they're referring to. As long as they have some idea of what they're talking about, then yeah.
