He had just got in from a week's trip when he went to his desk. He opened up his backpack and saw a letter with a strange address on it. He didn't remember sending the letter so he opened it. "Don't ever come back to this hotel, or I will kill you." it said.
The man was scared out of his wits. He knew what would happen if he tried to go back there again. So he left town as quick as possible. A few days later the phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Yes, its me..."
"I will spare your life if you do one thing. You must enter the lion pit at the zoo and not leave for one hour."
"No way!"
"Hurry up." He hung up the phone. The man drove to the zoo. He parked the car and walked inside. "Where is the lion pit?" he asked. "Just outside the main entrance." said the man at the ticket stand. The man found the cage. He got down on his hands and knees and looked into the cage. The lion was asleep. He stood up. "Well I guess that is easy enough." he thought.
But suddenly the lion saw him and jumped up at the bars. He climbed over them and went after the man. He ran all around the cage. He looked everywhere to get out but to no avail. He tried climbing the bars again. But he couldn't reach them. Then he got an idea. He could climb up the walls. He started to crawl up the wall. The lion continued to chase him. He reached about halfway when he slipped and fell down. He hit his head and blacked out. When he woke up he realized he was standing in front of the cage.
The man had woken up as well. He stared into the cage with a smile on his face.
"I'm sure glad that worked!" The lion looked like he was still asleep. The lion turned around and growled at him. The man screamed and ran away. He ran back to his car and sped off.
