so she's not my friend but she always tries to make small talk with me, and it was fine until today when i said something that was obviously a joke
she got super offended and then she started talking about how she's been through depression and i'm so insensitive etc etc and it's annoying because i know i didn't do anything wrong and i feel like a jerk for apologizing

she didn't say that though, she just went on and on about depression and how it's not funny (like duh) and how i should consider how other people are feeling (which again, i did nothing wrong)
it's weird because she is usually really nice and i can't understand why she's being so sensitive suddenly

but i don't want to make fun of people, i don't care about who my friends are, and i don't ever force myself on them or try to control them because i love being alone anyway
