Mine is kinda the same. I listen to music all day everyday but then one day I get sick of it and stop for awhile. I've been listening to it since I was 12, now I'm 14.

You don't learn how to do anything at 13 you don't understand anything you start learning at 13.

it's easy.
you just need to be dedicated.
you just gotta practice everyday.
for example, my cousin is in like the 8th grade or something, plays guitar, he's pretty good,
one day he was practicing and he got a little bit better, next day better, next day better, etc.

it really does help
and it helps even more if you use a metronome
at least that's what my music teacher told me when he taught me how to play the drums
