okay, fine. Let me explain my point further.
Society says that you have to act a certain way, look a certain way, etc in order to be successful and/or well-liked. People don't realize that they are being told how to live their lives, so they go along with it and live a life that isn't their own. That's where lies come into play. The people who are doing this aren't really lying about things, but they are lying about their true selves. They are living a false life which isn't who they truly are, therefore lying. It's really more of an illusion.
