I've been watching animes since I was five. So I can tell you this:
1: It's not terrible
2: Some of them are good, but it depends on what kind of anime you like.
3: Most anime shows are short so they usually don't take to much time.
4: And lastly, if you don't like it... Stop watching it.
It's just like any other TV show. Some you like and some you don't. Just because some anime is "terrible" doesn't mean that all of it is.

And I'm watching Bleach now.
Bleach looks kinda bad too. The characters look really weird, and the show is boring.

Doraemon is one of my favorites. It was my first anime show ever.
If you don't like it try watching something else.
Also, it's just the first episode. Most shows start out slow so they can give you details about the characters.
And also... That's why I said if you don't like it, don't watch it.
There are tons of different anime shows out there. Just because you don't like this one doesn't mean that all anime is "terrible."
Try watching something else. Or just stop watching it. You can't be forced to like something. Not even if someone tells you "It's not terrible."

Doraemon was my first one but I used to watch Pokemon with my little sister when I was five, so that could probably count too. I watched Doraemon when I was six though.

I'm going to try the next episode of Bleach.
But I won't watch anymore Doraemon episodes, because I don't think that show is for me.
Also, I've heard that anime shows are short and boring, so I guess they're right about that.

They can be short. But some can go up to 20+ minutes if they want them to. So yeah... Just depends on the show.
