It's the first time I've had my speed gun taken away from me, it's the first time I've been flashed, and it's the first time I've been fined.
So I was driving at about 50 in a 40 when this bloke pulled me over.
I asked him why he pulled me his name and address then I told him that I'd just got back from my trip to my grandparents so I asked him if he wanted to see my ID to prove that I wasn't under age because I know he probably thought that I was going to run away or something. So he told me to step out of the car then he said 'Oi mate get your hands up' and I said 'What are you doing?' And he said 'I'm arresting you for speeding mate'.
So I put my hands up and he handcuffed me and took me to his car and sat me in the back then he made me take off my jacket and gave me a strip search. Then he asked me if I'd killed anybody lately and I said 'No, why would you think that?'
Then he called his boss who came down and I asked him what my crime was but they wouldn't tell me. He said he didn't want to say what my crime was in case someone found out what he'd done so I went to court today and that's where it all started.
My lawyer told me that my crime was dangerous driving because I didn't have any insurance which is total BS because I had insurance. I told my lawyer that I did have insurance but he said 'It doesn't matter' and so I walked out on him. Then the judge asked me how much it costed to insure the car and I told her £1000 and she said 'What's your insurance company?'. So I told her and she asked for her assistant to call them. When she got through she asked me for the policy number and the insurance company told her that I wasn't insured and she said 'I thought you just said you had insurance?' And I said 'I did, I do'.
So I went back into court with my lawyer then the judge said 'Well obviously I can't let you off now because I've already seen the insurance policy but I'm going to give you a chance to go to an education centre for one day'. I told her that I couldn't do that because I'm moving to America tomorrow for college. So she said 'What are you going to college for?' And I told her 'Economics and law' and she said 'Oh, well I think we can make an exception in this case'. But then she added that if I was caught speeding again I'd be sent to jail.
Anyway I'm going to get back in my car now and I'm going to drive off to the airport where I'll get on my plane. Thanks for reading all of this and see you tomorrow.
