What happens if you find a dead body and dont call the cops?

If you don't call the cops, nothing happens. They'll eventually find the body on their own.

I'm not asking for help, I know what happens. I was just wondering. If i do it in the future ill call the police, but im just wondering what would happen. Thanks anyways

I'm just curious because I thought that when you die, you turn into ash? So what would happen if I buried a dead body?

When people die, they don't turn into ash. They turn into a rotting corpse with bacteria eating away at it.

I could see it going two ways.
If the person is a vagabond and nobody knows they're missing, nothing would happen.
Otherwise, the police might think it's a murder case and investigate further.
