It doesn't have to be recent. I'm thinking back on the last decade.
For me it's the "Screaming" fad, or as its more commonly known: The "New York Fad".
It was a fad that everyone did, and no one wanted to see. You could just walk up to any kid in New York and say, "GAS THE KIDS!" and they'd go nuts.
And if this gets popular I'll make another thread with some examples of the fads.
