And sees this strange looking bird. He walks up to the bird and the bird looks at him. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a piece of bread, which he throws on the ground in front of the bird.
The bird quickly eats it and runs away.
The man waits there for a while as nothing happens. Then he thinks of another plan. He takes off his jacket and throws it into a nearby tree.
Then he turns around and walks away.
When he gets home later that night, he hears a knock on the door. He opens the door to find the bird sitting there.
"Are you the owner of that jacket?" asks the bird.
"Yes I am" replies the man.
"Well I really want it back."
"Why?"
"Well I've been wearing it for quite some time now and I was just wondering if you'd be willing to sell it to me."
"How much would you be willing to pay for it?"
"Well, actually, I have no money on me right now, but if you let me wear it for a few more months, I'll give you a little bit of something."
"What's that?"
"I'll give you my left leg."
