Put food into it.
Set the time for however long you want it heated.
Press start, and the door locks until it's done heating.

The buttons should be labeled.
If not, there should be a manual in the box.

There are no instructions in the box. And yes, there is a button labelled "Start". But there are other buttons as well. So I do not know which one to press.

I also don't know what temperature to set it to.
Does it just auto set the right temperature?

If it's a conventional microwave, just look for a plate and put your food on it. Then choose the time you want it heated, then start it.
If it's a convection microwave (Which uses an oven element), put your food in a dish, then choose the time. Make sure you remove any plastic wrap.

Then use the turntable. It's the plate in the bottom.

There is no turntable or anything that looks like one.
Just some little metal bits

So if you don't have a plate, make sure your food is not in any type of container. Just use the metal tray that you put the food onto to heat it.

Don't know. Ask the microwave. If it has instructions, look at them. If not, you're on your own.

Well, then you're on your own. You'll have to experiment with different settings until you find the one that works for your needs.
I'd recommend starting out with something like 400 degrees, though.

Try starting out low, and work up. Don't go too high or too fast.
Also, make sure your dish is microwave safe (And that the dish you put inside the microwave is, too).

I guess I will just have to do it myself and learn through experience.
Thanks for all the advice!

Oh wait, the microwave isn't working right now because I accidentally hit the power button when trying to turn off the light.
Why did they put a light on it anyway?

Well, then plug it back in. If that doesn't work, see if you have an outlet elsewhere in your kitchen that you can use.
If not, and your microwave still doesn't work, call a repairman.

I think something is wrong with it because every time I plug it in, the light starts blinking and it beeps. I tried unplugging it and plugging it in again, but it just keeps doing it.
I don't know what to do.
