yeah i went to school only because i thought i could get better faster by going to school, which is stupid and made me feel worse
i stayed home today and played on my phone lol

I agree, but there is some truth to the idea that you can't really get better at home unless you're really sick. So you might as well go to school if you have something minor like a cold or the flu.

i know that, that's what i did for a week last year with strep throat and i'm still not over it
i just felt so much better after staying home all day

You probably have more experience with illness than I do. I haven't been sick since the end of third grade, so I don't think I'd be very good at diagnosing you or anything like that.

I usually stay up late, but today is a special occasion, and I plan to go to sleep early. You should probably do the same thing.
