i didnt even say hi back because I DONT EVEN KNOW THEM
but now theyre following me and my dog and I'm getting nervous...

Being kind is always the right thing to do. That's why I like to be kind to people. It doesn't mean that you'll have to be friends with everyone, but it means that you can acknowledge them and let them know that you care about them in one way or another.
