The ones that interest me, I read them, but not too many at once. I can't read a book in one sitting or else I'll forget what happens next, so I have to take notes.

Well yeah, but if you're reading it for like three hours straight you'll forget what happened and have to reread the whole thing again. And if you reread, you don't remember anything past the second chapter because your brain got tired of remembering things from the beginning of the book.
