I have a dog that is more loyal to me than my family.
He doesn't bark and he's very gentle around children.

Our family dog is very protective of his home as well, but he is more laid back. He likes to sleep on the couch with us.

My dog was just very protective of our home and yard. She would growl at anybody who entered her yard. And we never had any problems with intruders
