I went to the USHMM site, and there was a poll asking what is the most important event in history.
I picked "the Holocaust"
and I got 2 tix!

"Holocaust"
That's the one where Hitler killed all of the Jews, right?

I'm going to try to win again by picking "World War II".
I don't know why I bothered picking the holocaust; I could have easily won more than 2 tix by choosing World War II

They are not the same thing, however. They were two different events.
World War II was a war between several countries and the Holocaust was the killing of a particular group of people.

No they're not.
That's like saying the Civil War and the American Revolution are two different events.
Both events started because England had a crazy king, both ended when England was told "NO U"

The Civil War was a war between the north and south, and the American revolution was a war between the British and Americans.
The Holocaust was a war against an entire ethnic group and World War II was a war between various countries

Also, the English kings who caused these wars were very different. The King of England during the civil war was a tyrannical king, but the king of England during the American Revolution wanted to be liked.
