the thing is that a coin flip will basically just decide which candidate is slightly less evil than the other, so you're still getting two evil people as presidents, it'd just be who gets to be a bit less evil

if i had my way, everyone who was on the ballot in the first place would be removed and replaced with random people picked out of a pool of people
but we're talking about two candidates who are already going to be elected, and there's no way to determine whether they're more or less evil than each other, so just flipping a coin won't accomplish much
