if "meh" was pronounced the same as "may", then it would be spelt "May".
because words with "a" in them have short a sounds.
"may" has a short a sound.
"me" has a short a sound.
therefore "meh" should also have a short a sound.

therefore, they must both have short a sounds.
"me" is pronounced "meh".
"meh" is spelled "Meh".
therefore "Meh" is correct.
