I don't know how to feel about this... but when you go on vacation or someplace and you get something for free, do you say "Thank you" in the native language? Or no?

Well I can't speak their language, that's the whole point. They wouldn't understand what I'm saying if I said something in English. If I say anything, they're just gonna look at me like "Huh?"
