I mean, it's not even a word anymore. The people who say it are usually the ones who don't know what "cringe" actually means.

I'm not saying you can't. I just find it odd when people use it in completely random sentences, or say it in such a way that it's not funny or cringeworthy, and yet they're saying it as if it was funny. It's like when people think they're hilarious because they make stupid jokes, or try to be funny by being rude, but really aren't at all.

You said it before, which is fine. But most people never bother to think about whether the situation is actually funny or cringey.

I get what you're saying now.
But it's still kinda odd that some people use it randomly, with no context whatsoever.

That's not a bad thing, though, because if someone knows what "cringe" really means, they can tell when it's used incorrectly or unnecessarily. But there are still a lot of people who don't know what "cringe" actually means, so they can't tell when it's being misused.
