the universe was made by a guy who has an overinflated ego
so he made the entire thing to be big and shiny so that other people would think he was really smart
but because his brain is too small, it actually turned out as an almost completely empty void where nothing happens ever except for him occasionally thinking of more things to fill in with
and now we live here in this tiny bubble of a planet where everything happens extremely fast and the only life that we know about is a few billion cells that have been fighting for millions of years over one single area on a tiny planet orbiting a huge star that's just one of millions orbiting a giant galaxy that's just one of billions in the observable universe
that's pretty much the gist of it

also i'm sure the guy who created the universe also created gravity, so if he had a smaller brain then maybe gravity wouldn't exist either and the planets wouldn't be stuck to the sun
or maybe they would but it wouldn't be like what we're used to, i'm not sure how he would've done it without it being weird or something

i think your explanation is flawed. I think the universe was created by a tiny, microscopic man. He is inside the atom. He has been there forever, probably since the big bang. The universe is really big. It must take up all space. Since this man has existed forever, he has to be able to control time. Maybe he can travel through time too! Anyway, he has been here for ever, controlling everything.
