They are just born, raised, and live their lives in a place of filth. They get food and water so they survive for longer, but that's it.
There is no true happiness, only delusions and illusions. We are all living the same fate of being eaten by our own kind. We are nothing more than worms who are only happy if they get to eat others, or they get to avoid being eaten themselves.
I can see no possible way to be happy under these conditions.

I'm not going to insult your intelligence and say that you are wrong, because, honestly, I see where you're coming from. However, I am going to say that maybe some people will find happiness in something else.

I feel like I am being lied to, deceived.
That there is more to life than this.
That we have purpose.
But I know better.

I think it's what you make of your life, in a way.
However, I do agree with you on the fact that we are just meat bags.
It's a bit depressing.
