It's like saying your cat died, but not really.
And it's funny because I've seen people say their cats died, and I'm just like: "Oh wow. That sucks."
But then they're like: "It's not like it's a real cat." And I'm just like: "But... what does that even mean? You could've lied about a cat dying too."

and I've also seen people say they were late to class for reasons like
"my dog got hit by a car"
which is funny because i think im supposed to be feeling bad for them but instead i want to laugh in their face
