1. Know your stuff. You won't be able to survive in the infected world without knowing what you are capable of doing in the infected world. Learn every skill that the game has to offer to keep you alive and well.
2. Listen to audio logs. Audio logs are recordings left by other survivors. If they were smart enough to record a message, they were probably smart enough to survive. You can learn from them and possibly find out more about the outbreak by listening to their experiences.
3. Find weapons and medkits. Weapons are important because they allow you to take down infected easily and safely. Medkits keep you healthy while you are fighting for survival. With these at your side, you should have an easy time staying alive through this hellish outbreak.
4. Always stay on top of your health. Keeping yourself healthy is one of the most important things you can do when you're trying to survive in this outbreak. There's no way to tell if you will be infected at any moment, so keep your health up by using medkits whenever necessary.
5. Don't get distracted by the infected. The infected are always going to be after you. While it may seem like they aren't dangerous, they have a habit of getting in your way and attacking you. If you become too focused on the infected, you may find yourself overwhelmed and unable to stay alive.
6. Make sure to check every room before entering. Even though there are infected outside, there are also infected inside of buildings. It's very common to come across them in the places that you are looking for food or weapons. Take your time checking rooms and be sure to check all corners.
7. Know where infected might be located. Infected are always going to be in places that aren't too safe, but still somewhere you would go to get supplies. Keep this in mind when you're looking for food, weapons, or anything else that could help you survive.
8. Always look for gas cans. Gas is essential for vehicles. Not only will you need it to drive the car, but you'll also need it to refill the generators that you'll probably use. Look for gas cans anywhere, as they are always helpful.
9. Remember that you can be infected at any moment. Infected are everywhere, even inside houses. They can attack you at any moment without warning, so keep an eye out and always watch your back.
10. Never assume you're alone in a place. Even though you may think that you're alone in a certain area, there could be other survivors hiding. These survivors could be helpful or dangerous depending on how you treat them. Watch your actions carefully in order to survive.
11. Never give up hope. Many people die in this outbreak because they just give up. No matter how dire things seem, never give up hope. There is always a chance that something good could happen if you never stop trying. You have to keep thinking positively in order to make it through.
12. Find a partner. Finding someone to join forces with can help you stay alive for longer. It's much safer to explore the infected world with a partner by your side than to do it alone. Find someone with similar goals to yours and work together to survive.
