There's no point to learning it unless you're going to be living in Canada or France.

I'm in Grade 7, so I don't have a choice. I wanted to take Spanish this year, but we only have enough room for one other language class (French and Spanish are the only two languages we learn). We have a huge influx of immigrants who come here from Africa and other non-French speaking countries, which is why we learned French instead of Spanish.

If I lived in your country, I'd probably choose Spanish.
I actually know some French though, because I've been watching Canadian cartoons my whole life.

I'm not even Canadian.
I'm from the US.
The difference between me and you and most people in North America is that I live close to Canada, so I can watch Canadian TV (mainly cartoons) easily.
