I just got my first A- in a long time. I had to work hard for it, and I was so excited to see that letter on the paper. And then it hit me. That's all I'm ever going to get. I'm never going to be able to get an A+ again, because I already did it. I'm never going to be the best student in the class again, because there is someone new who has done it now. All of those things that made me happy were taken away from me. I'm just going to have to settle with what I have now.
You know, this is why I don't like school. It always takes something special away from you.
