My current monitor is a 22" CRT monitor that has been used for nearly ten years. It is starting to give out on me, but I do not wish to spend hundreds of dollars on a new one.

The problem with CRTs is they're outdated technology and they don't last very long compared to LCDs. For example, the one I'm using now has a maximum life span of around 10000 hours.

I had an ancient crt for a while
I could just barely see it without my glasses on.
They can be really cheap as well, since most people are probably upgrading to LEDs

It's really annoying having to wear your glasses whenever you use your computer. Plus, this is going to be used as both a monitor for my PC and TV for watching DVDs so I want something that will be easy on my eyes.

I mostly play games on my LED monitor and watch youtube videos.
I still have my CRT though, if I ever need it

Oh no, I wouldn't want to use one of those anymore unless I absolutely had to. Besides, if you do sell it off, that would pretty much make it useless anyways.
